Open-source web developers - Brighton UK

Java, Ruby on Rails, PHP, MySQL...

Most of the web applications we create are built using open-source technologies like Java and Ruby on Rails.

We're not married to any one particular technology, and we'll use whatever tools are right for a particular job.

Since we opened for business in 1999, we've seen different technologies come and go. Some tools and technologies have stood the test of time though - our earliest websites were created using JSP and Java servlets. Ten years on and Java is still the language of choice for building robust, scalable and secure bespoke systems.

More recently, we've added Ruby on Rails to our repertoire. Rails is a like a breath of fresh air for web developers. It enables us to create sophisticated web applications even more quickly (customers - read cost effectively) than before.

We provide fast, reliable, secure Java hosting and Ruby on Rails hosting for the sites we develop.

For simple web projects or for customers with existing hosting constraints it sometimes makes sense to use PHP, or one of the many popular PHP-based content management systems, such as WordPress, Joomla or Drupal.

If you're not sure which approach is best for your project, please contact us, and we'll help you understand the issues and make an informed decision.
